Fjord 33 MS – built in 1973 but first purchased in 1976 and still within the same family ownership. Aphrodite is a robust cruiser combining the comfort of a motor yacht with the capability of a sailing vessel.
At 10.2m length overall, she features a solid GRP hull, long keel and heavy displacement for excellent stability and seaworthiness. Designed by Eivind Amble, the Fjord 33 MS offers dual steering positions, a sheltered wheelhouse, and a spacious, teak-finished interior with comfortable accommodation with four/five berths in two cabins.
A capable classic suited to all-weather cruising. Aphrodite is currently ashore at Amble Marina.

SAILS
Mainsail, single slab reef Storrar – okay condition.
Mainsail, original Ratsey Lapthorne roller reefing repaired and Mainsail used from Moody yacht – both poor condition
Furling jib poor condition.
Stay sail, hanked on for inner stay (unfinished installation).
FURLER: Selden Furlex 205
INNERSTAY: Unfinished installation stay with Wichard adjuster and strops.
MASTHEAD RIG: Single backstay. All rigging pins replaced and toggles inspected one replaced 2020.
RUNNING RIGGING: Replaced 2020 and genoa halyard 2025
WINDLASS: Original with spare levers. Bolts replaced with 12mm eyelets to carry inner stay 2021.
ENGINE
Perkins 4108 lowline diesel rebuilt c1996. New ignition switch and solenoid fitted 2025. New alternator fitted 2025. SDS Marine Engineering.
TMP gearbox. Catalytic heater.
STEERING
Hydraulic with 2 steering positions. Morse 33c cables replaced 2020.
Ram serviced by Cramlington Engineering 2008. Emergency tiller.
ELECTRICS
12volt system checked 2025
WATERTANK
Cleaned and seals replaced 2020
DIESEL TANK
Located under cabin sole. Breather pipe replaced 2023.
Fuel gauge sender (float type) not working April 2026.
PUMPS
Jabsco Parmax 3 freshwater fitted 2025, Jabsco Parma x 4 bilge pump fitted 2026.

New bronze fittings with Groco ball valves supplied for ¾” wc intake.
1 ¼” wc discharge, basin and sink 1” discharge, engine raw water 1” intake.

38lb CQR bower 60 metres galvanised 8mm chain (reversed)
