We’re excited to be able to announce dates for the upcoming installation of the much anticipated gangway bridge — a necessary upgrade designed to enhance safety and improve access for years to come.

This is a technically complex installation involving multiple specialist contractors and requires access to the marina being restricted for short periods of time from Friday 30th May. Please note this job is weather dependent.

Please read the following important information regarding the project schedule including service disruptions and access changes, all works to take place between 0800 and 1700. No lifts will take place this week.

Project Schedule, Key Dates & Disruptions

Friday 30th May

  1. New bridge delivered to site.
  2. No power on pontoons.
  3. No Wi-Fi, water or VHF service. Diesel in cans only.
  4. Access interruptions to pontoons, office and showerblock.

Saturday 30th May

  1. No power on pontoons.
  2. No WiFi, water or VHF service. Diesel in cans only.

Sunday 1st June

  1. Main Car Park Closed.
  2. Flagpole being lowered. No VHF.
  3. No power, WiFi, or water on pontoons.
  4. Diesel in cans only.

Monday 2nd June

  1. Crane in operation.
  2. Main gate closed – limited parking spaces, entry through Coquet Street Car Park only.
  3. Limited access to pontoons when crane in operation.
  4. Removal of old gangway and installation of new gangway.

Tuesday 3rd June

  1. Main Car Park Closed.
  2. Raise flagpole.
  3. Reconnect vhf, electric, diesel and water. Wi-fi if possible.
  4. Lay epoxy floor at top of bridge.

Wednesday 4th June

  1. Re-open car park.
  2. Full access to pontoons.

Thursday 5th June

  1. Aiming to open new bridge
